Admiring history – there, where the story begins

The rich history of Messinia dating back centuries is intertwined with the cultural influences of Venetians, Byzantines, and Ottomans. Some of the most impressive archeological sites are telling the stories of its old inhabitants, legends, and heroes. One of them is Ancient Messinia, which proudly explains the establishment of this region back in 371 BC and the Messinian Kingdom. Messinia had a special place in the Greek Revolution of 1821, as it was the region where some of the most important battles were held, led by the great heroes and fighters.

Appreciating landscape - where life moves with the rhythm of nature

Messinian nature inspires. Gorgeous beaches, steep mountains, green olive fields. Impressive natural formations and a breathtaking view. The beauty of the George of Neda, the only “female” river in Greece that flows into the Ionian Sea. Fresh air near the magnificent Polilimnio waterfalls. A so much-needed shadow during the hot summer days in Vassiliki forest. Flamingos and turtles in Gialova lagoon, one of the most important wetlands in Europe. White sand and deep blue water of crescent- shaped Voidokilia beach, one of the most beautiful in Greece.

Meeting people - natural warmth and deep-rooted tradition

Deep wrinkles, dark skin, big smile. Hands whose wrinkled dry skin speaks more than words. Hours under the sun in the field or on the boat. Fishing, agricultural work, wine making, stumbling upon ingredients in the wild. An impressive history in cultivating the land and producing some of the finest fresh and tasty hand-made products, known in every part of the world.

Creating gastronomy - simple pleasures in every bite

Balsamic vinegar made from sun-dried grapes based on a traditional Greek recipe, used as a “cherry on top” for the fresh, homemade salad or roasted meat.
