The Owners

Deroko restaurant was founded by Dimitri, Fabian, and Ray, a long-term friends and business partners. Born and raised in Switzerland where they run several businesses in the field of gastronomy, entertainment, and sports, they always shared a deep love and passion for Greece.

A decision to open a restaurant in Gialova started from the memories Dimitris was sharing with his partners about beautiful Messinia, where he spent most of his summers as a child. Led by these stories, on their yearly sabbatical trip to the Peloponnese where they always plan new projects, Dimitri, Ray, and Fabian discovered the magical bay of Navarino. On a beautiful summer day at the blue waters of Divari Beach in Gialova, the vision of Deroko Casual Fine Dining was born.

The three experienced business partners knew instantly what they want: a Greek fine dining restaurant in Gialova, high-end gastronomy inspired by tradition, modern and innovative Greek cuisine combined with bold and contemporary global trends, in a summery casual boho atmosphere.

Deroko Casual fine dining was opened in 2021 in one of the oldest stone houses in Gialova, with a history of more than 100 years.

The restaurant is a fusion of Swiss preciseness, service, and quality standards combined with the magical Greek spirits, the tasteful local products, and the love and history for the Greek cuisine and recipes.

With this new “Swiss-Greek” combination, Deroko restaurant offers a completely new fine dining experience in the Greek hospitality market.

The owners are cosmopolitan, and they speak Greek, Swiss-German, German, Italian, and English.
